ACT I Outline Draft 1

ACT I (DECOY OCTOPUS):


- Scene 1: INTRODUCTION (Pre-social stage) (2 page spread)
           
- Brief synopsis of Apollo (where he was born, personality, skills)
                        - born to live the life of an Artist (in this world, the artist is like a warrior)
                        - he loved to fight by using his imaginations
                        - paint pictures and convey messages through the art of fighting
            - Picture: (split face – convey dual personalities; left & right brain)

- Scene 2: INDECISION (4 page spread)

            - Apollo was sent out to find his “true path” to salvation and personal fulfillment.
            - Picture: show the way of two paths and have The Elders point towards the Sea.
            - It is ultimately Apollo’s decision, but in the end he picked the Sea against his Conscience.
            - The sea ripped the boat apart.


~ Transition: (2 page spread)
(Transition – The Sea becomes hellish, with octopus tentacles raising up and grabbing people)

- Scene 3: ABANDONMENT (2 page spread)

            - Apollo’s conscience decided to separate from Apollo’s body… forming a new self-image            called Dion. As Dion got ripped apart… he says, “I won’t ever forgive you.”
            - Apollo says, “I need you to stay… Or I won’t ever forgive myself for making this decision.”

 

- Scene 4: LIMBO (2 page spread)
           
- others don’t mind the brainwashing/easy life… but I do

            - My fault for not listening to myself

            (Emptiness in the lifeless pit of the Octopus)

            - No motivation

            - No room for creativity

            - “Boredom is basically a “dark nature” in the mind.

            Boredom is a state when the mind feels a sense of disinterest with the “Now” moment.             Boredom is mostly a harmless state but prolonged boredom can lead to states of            depression.”
           
            - “I felt a strange emptiness within myself. I recalled longingly of the days drawing in my           spare time, directing fighting sequences using my action figures, making short films with   my camera…”

 

- Scene 5: SUBMISSION

            (Selling my soul to the system, conforming to society’s norms)
            - Snake torture chamber

 

- Scene 6: SELF-AWARENESS

            - (Reflect back at whom I am, I grew up drawing, my personality is diff)

            - Confidence arises from self-awareness

- Scene 7: THE GREAT ESCAPE (2 page spread)

            - Kanye Graduation explosion

            - (Found the Big Fish, found my true role, ticket to way out)

            - Apollo decided to find Dion
